OK... I need some help!

It's been a LONG time since I played SHIII... at least two years! I'm ready to start downloading mods again, especially GWX.

Now I'll be using GWX 3.0 Gold (a wonderful collection of mods... a toast to the GWX crew for that!) I was using OLC's GUI mod before, and a vast collection of skins etc.

I'm also using a 22" ws monitor... are there aspect ratio fixes out there now compatable with olc's mods and gwx etc like the 16km mod?

Did that uber-awesome-sexy type VII model get finished? I can't remember the guy who was making it! Like I said... it's been a while since I was around these parts!

Apologies for being lazy with the search function, but I'm off to cook dinner in a few minutes and don't have time to trawl through the threads!

No I remember it was Tomi99, he was working on a high-res model of the VIIC/41 and even a playable Type VIID... I was following it's progress but stopped playing SHIII. Looking for the model so I can use it but to no avail.

By the way, I saw whilst using the search function there is a torpedo/engine room for the Type II!!!?! Is this for SHIII????? Or is it for SHIV? I don't play SHIV so if I can use it for GWX I will collapse from excitement lol!

So many old mods I had, stupidly deleted them when I uninstalled SHIII... now I can't find any of them! Venatore's drive-thru doesn't seem to have any links for mod downloads! Here are some of the mods I used to have, if anyone can help me find them I would really appreciate it!

Das boot style clothes for crew, diff coloured jumpers etc.
Greenish colour atlantic (like in Das Boot again)
OLC's GUI
Damage textures, like "black holes" in the side of ships etc when hit looked really good with mangled steel
Lifeboats and other effects, racerboys mod I think...

I had loads, but that's all I can think of for the moment... part of me wishes I had a time machine like on my mac could "go back in time" and grab those mods!

If anyone have any recommendations for me that are compatible with GWX 3.0, then please do forward them to me... I've been out of the loop for a long time so don't know what's out there!

Well... SHIII is patched, now going to install GWX 3.0 and start terrorizing the North Atlantic!

The great Tomi mods are under the ATO section.

Here is a youtube of the type 2...It`s really great, no words for it.

But you can find your mods under the download section of this site,
see left above Downloads with the yellow marc.

I've got a problem, tried to fire her up and got this

"Menu ID not found: 0x 1a000008!" ... which follows with a CTD.

HELP!

I patched to 1.3 (1.4b seems to patch up to 1.3 as an all in one job I don't left it out)... apart from that i installed GWX over a clean copy of SHIII not even fired up. All files & folders including registry entries were removed prior to installation.

What's causing this? I don't even have any mods installed!

Thanks, turns out it's included with GWX 3.0 Gold anyway lol.

Tried installing again and the game now works, but I can't get Rubini's widescreen fix to work. All I get is "can not start 3d engine" or something like that it won't even load up

.

Life is so unfair! lol

EDIT! FIXED!

Seems SHIII doesn't like running at 59hz... changed to 60 and its fine. Now to install my other mods and go give the brits something to worry about!
