Default Amazing chase

Note that I had SeaWolf U-57:s Battle Class Sub.

I was patrolling around the Mediterranean Sea but I couldn't find any ships to sunk. I decided to attack Valletta, becouse I didnt want to return to port without any sinkings. I was approacing the port and looking for targets from my periscope. I couldn't find any big ships to sink but I couldnt find any. Some destroyers attaced me but I sank them all.
I decided not to attack the port becouse there was no big ships to sink and I returned to patrol the Mediterranean. I took course to east and 1024 TC.

I had been travelling houndreds of kilometers when suddenly I was getting damage reports. I paused the game and went to External camera. I saw that my stern was on fire.

I ordered the damage control team to repair and I started to investigate. I saw no enemy ships or planes. I ordered then to return to course. I put 1024 TC again. I was wondering what was it.

Suddenly, it happened again. I paused again and went to the brigde.
I ordered to slow the ship down. Again, I couldn't see anything.

I was just about to continue the travel when a British destroyer was approaching from the fog. I ordered to crash dive.

After 30 minutes of depth charging, I managed to get a clear shot and launced a salvo of torpedoes.

One torpedo hit the destroyer and she sank.

Then I realised that the destroyer had been following me all the way from Valletta. Thats over 300 kilometers! The destroyer was that who shooted me 100km before but losted contack on me. And now catched me up again.

As you can see, it was a long chase!

Good night!

Not trying to spam my own posts... but

I just posted some screen shots in the humerus thread from GWX3.0 where something similar happened to me. I had fired a few shots at an Elco Torpedo boat and scored what I thought would have been enough hits to sink it. I submerged, and dove for 25m in the English Channel because this thing was chewing me to bits with its machine guns. I traveled underwater for 7hrs gametime (time compression, traveling from around Southend to Bologna) to surface and find that Torpedo boat a thousand meters out in front of me. I do have to say that I really like the way that GWX3.0 has stepped up the quality of pursuit from Her Majesty's Navy. Amazing is a good way to describe it buddy, awesome story.

Great images.

Bad weather and TC to 1024 is no good idea.

I call this topic, "the great escape"

Just out of sheer curiousity, is there a mod for these 'Battle class' subs?
