Das boot similar storm?

Any of you has already wonder if SH3 would have a storm like Das Boot the movie?
Now that would be a rolling sub!

I just suffered through 13 days of wind and storm and my only torpedos left were externals. Couldn't even use my AA guns due to the storm.

Storm finally cleared and I sunk me a 10K cargo and a destroyer from a large convoy, so all good in the end!

During my almost two weeks of wandering aimlessly waiting for the wind to die down enough for me to load my externals I passed, in perferct attack position, two large convoys, a small convoy, and carrier task force! All that and I had no weapons. heh

When you write storm is that windspeed above 15 m/s? which is the most Ive seen ever in the game.

I am playing Commander with seasonel wavehight selected but still the windspeed never reaches above 15 m/s

Nope, it was 15 m/s wind the whole time. Waves were intense! I'd bob up and down between 4m to 12m constantly. Every minute, sometimes more often, I'd get the "Current Depth 10m!" message. I needed it to be below 5 m/s in order to reload.

The maximum wind speed in the game is 15 m/s. One modder long ago experimented with raising it. He got it to go to 45 m/s, and it worked, but when he saved and reloaded it defaulted to 15. So he came up with the 'Big Waves' mod, which doubled the size of the waves at every wind speed, so we could read 15 but pretend it was actually 30 m/s. SH3 Commander allows you to select '1x', '1.5x' and '2x', or 'Seasonal, which makes it 1x in the summer, 1.5x in the spring and fall, and 2x in the winter. A compromise for sure, but the only way the game will really allow it to happen.

In my patrol logs I record wind up to 30 m/s, but I'm using the 'Seasonal' option and doubling the speeds to match the wave heights as I write them down.

Yes, dont forget to get the OLC envionment mod, Its in the SH3 mod section.
