Exploring the sub

Hi folks am a recent convert to SH3 having chanced upon the game in a bargain bin in PC World,(I almost bought World of Snooker).I've added GX 2.1 and a few other choice mods..I'm just curious as to how you get to the engine room and the torpedo room when on sub walkabout.

The engine room and torpedo room are not modeled in SHIII or any of its mods. Mikhayl, gunney and Tomi 099 are currently working on an SHIV (and possibly also SHIII) modification for this, but it will take a very long time (I suspect a few weeks/months) before it is released http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=141858

Yes,indeed,or Zoo Tycoon 2.

Of course what annoys me is that a game as good as this has been around for so long and I've not discovered it until now.Oh well better late than never.

Welcome.

I think that you'll find SH III far more enjoyable with GWX. While you can't visit the engine or torpedo rooms at least you get a "live" crew; unlike SH II. It always bugged me (in that game) when I'd see the deck gun fire with a ghost crew...

P.S. Here's a good reference to keep on hand: http:////silent-hunter-addict.com/Qu...m_Members.html if you run into a problem. It'll save you from having to do a lot searching when you're looking for a solution.
