Can't resist. Bad habit. But you know I like that anyway. If I ever meet you though, I'll buy you a beer!

Just poking at ya! Anyway, I wonder what is bigger? The 747's that have been modified to cargo 787 parts, or the A380???? I'm betting the 747's are bigger.

That A380 is an impressive aircraft. I hope that it will be economically successful.

You mean this 747 cargo?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_...argo_Freighter
It's a bit smaller than the A380

On 1 December 2005 the A380 achieved its maximum design speed of Mach 0.96 (versus normal cruising speed of Mach 0.85), in a shallow dive

wow 0.96 pretty good

Are you sure? I don't think so. The length of it is as long as an A380, but the interior volume (the body has got to have a larger diameter) is bigger! I bet you it is bigger than a A380. You should see that thing. I've seen it first hand!

A380 - length - 239 ft
747 cargo length - 235' 2 "

A380 - fuselage width - 23' 6"
747 Cargo F width - 27' 6"

So that settles it - the 747 Cargo is considerably bigger!

What's the difference between the 747 LCF and the 747-8?

Is the -8 a follow on to the LCF?

"Bigger" is a bit messy. The Boeing is wider in fuselage, whereas the A380 is longer, wider in wingspan, and has a MTOW of 1.2 million pounds compared to the Boeings 800,000.
