reverse surround sound

Hi I really appreciate the work of the modders here... thanks for your efforts.
I have one install with TMO1.5 and PE3.3 and another install with TMO1.5, PE3.3,with uboat patch for TMO.
The problem i find with both installs is that the surround sound seems to work fine for most situations. unless i am in the control room or conning tower and a destroyer passes over head and drops DC's. I know the DD is coming from the rear, passing overhead and continuing past the bow. But the sound appears to come from the bow and pass over to the aft. The crew voice sounds are coming from the correct speakers but the sounds of the destroyers and depth charges seem to be back to front.
Has anyone noticed the same thing or is my install somhow to blame?
