Heya @ll! Newb question :-)

'ello yall Kaleuns!

Its the time again that I digged out my old SH3 CD again to sink some british freighters.

Havent played it for a while. Back then I used to play GWX1 - now I got GWX2.0 installed and of course I have to say THX to the modders for this great mod!

I do have aquestion though. Maybe some of you more experienced players can help with this one. I'd appreaciate it.

It often happens to me, that I am unable to keep my depth below 140 meters if I do silent running. I have been reading around here that people dive down to like 240 meters. I been down there, too - but usually my U-boat slowly goes further down if I go 100 RPMs. That forces me to speed up to get back to a safer depth.
The escort ships of course can hear that and send some bombs after me. Till now I was able to evade them - got back up to like 120 meters and did silent running again. Usually they loose me then. But my career is at December 1940 now and I guess in the long run I will have to stay deeper. Is the problem I am encountering a bug? Or is it intended to be that way?
