Default Editing game files

Can anyone tell me what I need to tweak to get acoustic torpedos in a 1041 campaign?

I know its cheating but sometimes don't you just wanna kick some escort ass

I think you need to edit the Basic.cfg file and set the date to whatever you want.

[TORPEDO_TYPE5];T IV (G7es) - Falke
Idx=5
Year=1943 <--- That's the Date
Month=7
PrototypeYear=1942
PrototypeMonth=11
Renown=500
[TORPEDO_TYPE6];T V (G7es) – Zaunkönig I

I tried that but no joy, I can still only get TI and TII in 10/1941.

Scroll further down the Basic till you reach your sub

or just the top line? Thanks in advance.

btw all the other edits worked,for example conning tower,deck and AA guns,radar,sonar etc

All of them. Each line controls just ONE torpedo load.

OK thanks Thomsen I will try it tonight when I finish a patrol as I don't think it would be wise in mid patrol. Oh and thanks to BBwooly and Melnibonian as well

Or you could use Wolfie's Tweek Sub Mod to change your torpedo load-out anyway you want it, for any year, for any sub. Not only can you carry torpedoes that haven't been designed yet, you can carry more of them on-board and also more external TP's than the 'stock' load-out.
