Default BIR (Brag's Intelligence Review)

As a matter of habit, if not curiosity as to what is really happening in this world, every morning I scour the world press. In the future, I intend to place links to articles related to intelligence matters and geopolitics. The articles will not necesarily reflect my views, except that I found them interesting.

Or a Lancaster bobmer found on moon which mysteriously disapears in time for there to be an article about said mysterious disapearance in the next weeks/months paper.

So I guess my lead to the true story of the mad bomber from Lancaster who put the Lancaster bomber on the moon while making a fortune moonlighting making busts of big-busted ladies is right out, then...

Not nessasarily, because i was refering to an actual headline on an actual "news"paper. Your story might be just as true as these.

Whaddaya laughin' about? Everyone knows the "tabloids" are the greatest source of the best investigative journalism on the planet.

Just ask the Men In Black!

About that Hitler thing...

Does this mean we have to refer to him in-game as "Der Frauher"? :p

Brit tabloids make American tabloids look like some rag a guy cranks out in his basement! I just wonder how they manage to pass off all them hot babes as Brits?

Brag, apologies for your thread taking a sharp turn to left field.

Once you guys get finished with The Sunday Sports pages go directly to Where Evil Lurks, pick up Kingmaker and start reading. Afterwards there will be a quiz to expose all double agents in this forum.

And to inject a little bit of "seriousness" in this thread...

Yes, of course it will. He was one of the biggest road bumps to Bush's way of doing things in the MEast. He was also, from all accounts, an amazing strategic level thinker who understood the region and got things done. Either way, his going is bad for the country he so ably served IMO. There's far too many yes men in that command, methinks.

As to why he's resigned, I've heard three things that make sense:
1) Fallon wanted a troop drawdown in Iraq. Petraus didn't, who went over Fallon's head to Bush directly. Bush of course agreed and Fallon got sacked.
2) This is a shakeup for military action with Iran. Fallon was one of the biggest obstacles to that.
3) He's resigning so he can VP for a certain junior senator who has zero military credentials.

Of all these, I think the first is by far the most credible. Either way, something devious happened I think. Theater commanders don't just up and resign in the most important posting of their career during a war.

PD

Double-dealing, double entendres, double billing and double-digits, maybe.

Double agents? NEVER!

I suspect this is not the last we hear from the good admiral. Once he retires, he will become unmuzzled. Not only the intelligence community is appalled at the White House crazies but a lot of the military brass. I believe Fallon, who is outspoken while in uniform, will have a lot to say once out of it.
