I don't know why the lines are broken, but it looks to me like whole bucket load of sound contacts to me.

There is a big convoy to my left West I guess. Lots of merchant and war ships. I really dont have any idea how to intercept them. I guess I will just try and hit and run from the side...I thought this map was supposed to help you set up on a convoy?

Use the Navigation map.

Take your pencil tool, and place a mark at the end of the contact lines. (not all of the lines, just one or two of em).

Fast foward the game a couple mins.

Place a second mark down at the ends of the lines again. So now you should have two marks per contact that you were tracking. Try and remember which line had which marks.

For each contact you made a mark for, connect its two marks with a straight line.

You now know there course.

Ah but they do show on the nav map. See the black line extending from your sub to NW? That's all the contact lines, but the game shows them as one because of the scale. Zoom in a bit, and you'll see all of them exactly as on the attack map.

I would be careful about TC'ing. It seems that the escorts will pick you up real easy. Maybe you can get away with 4x or 8x TC at that distance from the Convoy/TF. You can measure an estimated distance from them by using the ruler and calculate whether you can reach a good firing distance in time.

Clayp, your images are 1-1.5Mb...make 'em a bit smaller in size, because there are allot of people here on dial-up.
Like the 1st one...really doesn't have to be bigger than 150KB, and still gives a good IQ.

Depends on the program you are using, but you can resize it to make it smaller, maybe 500 pixels, just look for a resize image in one of the menus. Then save as a .JPG it will compress it, you lose a little bit of quality but on a monitor you won't even notice the difference.

If you happen to be using Photoshop Elements, there is a menu for "Save for the Web" and the compression is great. If you give info on the program you are using I am sure we can give you some pointers.

Yes, save as .jpg

BTW, turn into the oncoming convoy, ahead flank. Battle Stations! Prep your torps now! Get a range with a ping. Set up the PK to what you think is going on...AOB, etc. Close the track. Good times be heading your way!

Well I have been shadowing this convoy I have been able to count 16 ships medium passenger ships and lots of escorts could maybe be an invasion force..The seas are extremely high and its almost impossible to see with the periscope. So I'm waiting for the seas to go down or for dark so I can maybe try a surface attack...
