Ok,
For depth setting.
Go to folder
data\Submarine\NSS_Uboat7c (for example)

In the cfg file look for this line:
MaxDepth=500;meters

Change it to whatever you wish.

For speed settings.

Same file.

MaxSpeed=17.0
MaxSpeedSubmerged=7.6

BUT!! These settings are also in the sim of said Sub.
You need Mini-Tweaker and the tweak files to change them.

Any problems, just holler.

ciao! stavo per risponderti su entrambi i forum ma mi hanno preceduto!

devi avere un programmino (tweaker) che puo' modificare i parametri di SH3.. ho trovato un link su Google (cercando tweaker + silent hunter III), ma non funziona più...

No idea really on the depth.
It's just what was in the cfg file I pulled up in Vanilla SH3.
But 500 meters is only like what?
300+ feet?

Yes, it is. But to get the sub down to the real crush depth, you need to modify this crush depth 1st. The 500 meters (1640 ft.) is deeper than any sub could go but it allows Timetraveler's Mini-Tweaker or Inspector mods to make a change the uboat.sim file. If you leave the .cfg file at the stock 300m, you can't get the depth to change. Timetravelers mods don't allow you to go below the real crush depth of a given type of sub but it allows you to change the games idea of what the depth was.

A meter is 39.37 inches.

Yes 500 Meters is quite deep....considering the Depth Gauges in the sub only go to 260

But I thought there is an issue with DCs cease to work below 300M. So, if you adjust a sub to dive deeper, it effectively becomes totally invulnerable.

There is a mod for 400m gauges for the boats. Your IXC has a max depth of 275m while a VII/42 could go down as far 450m - if you actually wanted to try to go for it!
