A strange incident in Saigon

No, I didn't pick up a woman of ill-repute!

It was the heaviest fog I've ever seen and the morning was steel gray. My Porpoise-class boat was surfaced outside Saigon Harbor. So I went 2/3 speed and looking out for patrolling DDs. Hmmm. none so far I can see. Good. Headed deeper into the harbor water, shallow like hell. I tell myself no enemy aircraft in this soup. Perfect for sneaking in. So I get real close to the dock and can't see squat! Sudddenly through my scope I see a faint outline of a docked ship- looks like a Large Modern Tanker! But my scopes can't get a good lock on it because of the low visiblity- even at 2000 yards. So, I moved in closer got the deck gun crew readied and finally got the Tanker in plain view and the deckkies went to work. I saw a Deck gun on the Tanker's bow but we were so close he couldn't get a good shot or maybe couldn't make us out. He's deaf or what with all that racket we were making. Anyway we found a whole bunch of docked ships and sank 4 of them with the deck gun. I decided this is overkill and began to move into open water. And there in front of us was a DD eyeballing my boat. Deck gun to work setting the DD on fire. Then all hell broke loose! Enemy shells everywhere. My XO peed his pants and one of the CPO went MIA in the latrine. I couldn't dive for fear of hitting the conning tower on the DD's hull. So, I made a hard turn to port and dived. Got just one hit in my hull but was enough to injure 5 of my crew. Lucky for us the fog saved us. The DD had no choice but to stop and wonder where the hell we were. We were about 200 yards away from the dock and we surfaced. Out in the open we got three more ships with torps and deck gun. But alas, I lost the saves and my Medal of Honor due to revamping RSRDC. Ah, well Albatross crap happens. Still can't find my CPO though.
