Default An Announcement

After much delay nearly 4 years to be exact, and much deliberation between doctors and staff i found out that im still eligable to join the royal navy.

Two weeks ago i formaly applied to join the Royal Navy (again) choosing warfare specialist submarines as my main area of work.

So far so good i have passed the entrance tests i now have to re do the medicle and also physical (no sweat).

I was declined oppotunity the last time i applied because of my wieght and after 3 years 11 months of battling with two doctors and RN recruitment staff we found out that the doctors who do the preliminary medicle were using royal marine guide lines to judge the Naval recruits (there two very diffrent regulations governing both).

Action was taken both doctors were stuck off the Navys acceptance list they can no longer medically check any new recruit (they can still practice as doctors) but not for the navy.

So my long waiting may finally and hopefully be over and done with.

P.S i hope i get posted to a new astute SSN

Not at all the plans are still there, and being in the Navy helps a fair amount too, might even be able to put in for transfer now for the New zealand aussie and USN which works wonders .

Nice one Kapitan, after speaking with the guys from the RN that I work with I think you will love it to bits.

Hope you get in, if you do, you will have to drop me an e-mail and we can exchange trips around each others offices

Good for you! I suspect if I were recruited to the US Navy, the bilge pumps would be manned by me. The ship would be the USS Minnow . Good luck and enjoy it....that is the most critical part.

Good luck to you, future bubblehead. Just remember these words of wisdom my merchant seaman Daddy told me before I went to sea.

Just remember, son. No matter where you are at sea, you're never more than seven miles from land...straight down.
