My saved game files keep getting corrupted over and over again. I'm playing a campaign in the Black Sea with a Type IID. I have GW 2.0 installed over a clean stock SHIII patched to 1.4b. I had this problem when using older versions of GW. This is making the game virtually unplayable and I am very close to calling it quits with SHIII. I'm not going to keep sinking the same ships time and time again.
System Specs: Operating System -Windows XP (+ latest updates) Processor -AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4200+/2.2 GHz Memory -1024 MB RAM Hard Disk Space -160 GB Video Card -ATI Sapphire X1550 256MB (temporarily using this card whilst Asus card is being RMAed) -Asus GeForce EN7900GT TOP/256MB RAM Sound Card -Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum/7.1 DirectX -DirectX 10 Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks |

When I got corrupted saved games in SH3 or GWX, the only solution I ve found is to load a previous saved game ( not the last one).
That is quite annoying cause I loose my last progress, but I don t loose the whole thing. hope this helps. ![]()

So it seems it's a game bug then. Does it happen to you frequently?
Thanks for your reply. It was very helpful because now I know where the problem comes from. Too bad. It was a good game. Oh well, on to SH4 now! With more advanced game engines come more technical instability. I've learned this lesson well (not just with SHIII). |

Back up your save game folder.
Add an 'x' after the save game name, then delete the 'x' after a future save. I've heard it said adding an additional ficticious career often works. |
