Fuel leak explained

Fuel tank damage,or limited range due to fuel,is in fact battery damage.

So turn charging off on damaged batteries charging. Too get more range.

I did not catch this,or we would have made Midway,the only indicator is the battries won't take a full charge,& the damage screen shows no battery damage.

I've been saying this every time someone complains about the fuel leak and it's been ignored so far, so it's nice to see someone bring it up again

Aye maties, keep a sharp eye on that battery meter ...

If'n ya'll be chargin batteries for longer than a day, you've likely got battery damage. They will only charge to a certain percentage, but since they never reach full charge the AI doesn't know enough to turn the chargers off.

Always check!

Thank you gentlemen for posting (and re-posting) this. I had just never noticed mention of it.
I wonder if this effect figures in to some of the, "I'm 500 nm short of Midway and out of gas" threads. :hmm:
