Default You don't miss your water... (A Salute to the Developers)

Exactly 1 week ago my Motherboard packed it in. Since then I have been through all of the 5 stages of grief...

1) Denial (I must have turned that thing on and off about 100 times... just in case)

2) Anger (STOOPID &%#@*%^ COMPUTER)

3) Bargaining (Please Dear... if you let me upgrade I will do every chore on the list)

4) Depression (you want HOW much for a new set-up???)

5) Acceptance (I agreed to the price on the upgrade)

And you know what? Through all of the last week the only thing I really missed is Silent Hunter 4. This sim is an extraordinary accomplishment and Dan and his team should be congratulated for it. It's something we just don't do enough.

So my hat is off to you men and women. Thanks for a great Sim, a great Game, an a great Time!

Salute .

JCC

Default Yeah I am with you on this one!

Thank you devs for making such a great sim and making it possible to mod so easy without having to learn a new programming-language.

To bad about your computer, but a good reason for upgrading the rig

i have to agree as well. ive had SH4 for 2 weeks now, cant comment on what it was like at release but im still in awe at its beauty. what with the upcoming patch and all its modding potential things are looking very good for the SH series.

is SH4 the perfect subsim, no of course not but when i look back to the whole SH2 debacle and all the anger on these forums bout there not bein a dynamic campaign etc we've certainly come a long way

A few weeks back I was having some major trouble with my rig (its a long story but it turned out that my new graphics card driver had suddenly decided to develop a conflict and crash every five minutes) and I couldn't play SH4. I felt so depressed and bored it was unbelievable!

Its all fixed now though, the Java sea is once again a dangerous place for Japanese shipping!

Every day i click on the Silent hunter 4 icon on my desktop, i am thankful that the developers choose to develop this game. Nobody else in the world will do it. That makes the devs responsible for the game we play, all that much more in need of praise. If it were not for them, we'd have no sub sim at all.

Default As long as it takes

For all the complaining, I must agree with the other posters who have said that it is far better that the Devs take as long as they need to role out a good product rather than rush the job to meet a deadline. We all know what that looks like:hmm:

I agree with JC this game is fantastic and I just cant get enough of it, I fired up SH3 last night and I've gotta say it doesnt compare to SH4 at all, the devs did a fantastic job with this game and Im loving every minute of playing it.
