Default Official notice to all anti-destroyer cowboys!

This is official license for all whose ultimate thrill is taking on those hated tin cans of the enemy using whatever means blows your skirt up, that hunting season is officially open as of 13 April 1944. Go get em!

Another widely accepted tenant of Silent Hunter 4 attack practice guidelines bites the dust! I've been a real rabble rouser lately!

Default OK, let me paste the link directly from my browser

And let me throw some more red meat out there for all the U-Boat haters and those who say U-Boats never got to the Pacific (Ducimus in the crosshairs!:p Serves him right for those darn planes bombing me at periscope depth).

Quote:
The Flounder (Stevens) sank the only German U-boat that was credited to U.S. Submarines in the Pacific.
Heh, heh, heh. Print the news and raise hell!!!!William Story, Jackson Citizen-Patriot

OK, here's some links to juicy parts of the US Subvets Website. Sorry about the nonfunctioning links to this great site by the men we all give tribute to:
http://www.ussubvetsofworldwarii.org
http://www.ussubvetsofworldwarii.org/RememberIndex.html
http://www.ussubvetsofworldwarii.org...own_Facts.html
http://www.ussubvetsofworldwarii.org/TOC.html

These will work!

Hate to rain on your parade, but...

U-862 was the only boat to operate in the Pacific. It was taken over by the Japanese on May 6, 1945 and converted to the I-502.

U-537 was sunk in the Java Sea by the USS Flounder, which I don't consider the Pacific Ocean.

Note that none of them were Type XXIII's

Oh yeah?????

Well, the sub sailors considered it the Pacific and they don't care what you think! (how do you spell Pfffffffthththtt?):rotfl:

The type XXIIIs fought alongside Ducimus' Starship Enterprise. You didn't read about that? Set phasers to poach well. Targeting USS Hornet.... Oh, that's right. The stupid UBI spat with Grumman. Targeting USS Nimitz!

Hey, it could be fun. I'll try anything once. Anyway, I look at the add-on as a great big modders' toybox: more a collection of raw materials than anything else. But I'm open to being surprised by the final product.

Oh I'm completely open to it. I think giving modders additional material to work with is what it's all about.

How many of us play SH4 out of the box anyways? We tweak! Giving us the ability to tweak even further is a good thing!

While they where sunk in the Java Sea , that sea itself is located in the Pacific theatre and i'm sure the boat was not limited to only patrolling the Java Sea.

But yes, it wasn't an XXIII.

The problem is that (at least in part), in order to find it in the dictionary, you have to know how to spell it
