Patrol Areas

Hi,
I've just been sent to the Marshalls for the fourth consecutive time. This is getting boring. I even requested a transfer which I got, to an Aussie base, but when I loaded I was still going to the Marshalls from Pearl! If I go, will I return to the Aussie base or back to Pearl. Next, how does one complete this mission. I've sailed all over the Marshalls area, sunk a few Japs, but not good enough. Finally, will I ever get to patrol any other area,? I need a change of scenery!

My impression of the dessert tour of the Marshalls is as a staging area that's pretty central to the Pacific theater from which you can venture anywhere you want to bag the hits. Once the patrol icon changes grey I'm outa there to areas known to be rich pickings for that date or where contact reports indicate a lot of traffic. I've been sent to Mashalls three times on this campaign and in all the time I've spent there (in default sim) I've spotted two aussie freighters and no enemy.
