i had an officer, whom i needed, fired

. thing is, on reloading the save on entering base to get him back i no longer have a grid area to patrol. it's listed as NULL in the load screen. maybe this can be fixed in 1.04?

Stock SH3 is not designed so that subs can dock anywhere they want mid patrol.

GWX included this refitting at milk cows and friendly bases as a mod feature... as a side effect your patrol grid will say "NULL" once you resume the mission.

In this case you are free to take your boat wherever you please.
