Default how can i add smoke to the fire left on the water?

how can i add smoke to the fire left on the water?

ship sinks and fire sits on the water but there is no smoke after the ship is gone.

if its burning then there must be some smoke to go with it so how can i add smoke?

nothing too heavy or thick, i was thinking something that looks like ship funnel smoke.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: this turned out to be signal smoke from downed pilots. images are in my third post.

You have to go to the node's that have the Fire effect's like fire small or fire Big and add the nodes and or changes to the nodes that are connected to them under neath.

Open them up further and you will see smoke effect's to go along with the fire effect's.

There is always smoke with the fire even on the surface burning. Also the Mod Smoke on the water add's a ton of smoke to effect's.

From our work

this is what i am talking about, after the ship has sunk completely after a minute or so the smoke stops when the sunken ship dissappears but the fire continues on.

the fire is not turned off when the ship dissappears so it is not tied to the ship but apparently the smoke is still tied to the ship. i believe this is a game flaw and the smoke should be tied to the fire not the ship so that you always have smoke anytime you have fire.

i have some pics as example:

Just as simple all you have to do is save the original game image as a Jpeg then you can upload them all you want.

I understand what he's saying now.

The smoke stays on the oil fire as long as the ship is considered "alive" by the game engine. As soon as the ship sinks, and the kill is scored, the game engine turns off the smoke. But your oil fire effect is still there. Then you have an oil slick fire with no smoke.

The game engine connects the smoke with the ships status, not the fire graphic.

JJimmadried did the mod for that HUD.
And there is a vs of it with the green lamp for the Battery/Fuel indicator as well.

Default Btw Webster

that pink smoke is from Alied downed pilot's. It was done in patch 1.3 to make it easier to find them and rescue them.

Go to the Bridge and use the Binoculars with your hud set to the bridge. When the marker for the Bino's turns red click on the rescue Pilot button to save them.
