Default [REL] Wolfehunter's Uboat U-160 IXb

Yup its me again your favorite skinner.

This time I did some research last night looking for new skins. I found 2.

U-160 had 2 commanders and 5 patrols and she sank 26 ships!

This one is U-160 IXB. Very nice camo. Conning tower was difficult due to the wrapping effect of the models. So I had to make some minor changes. BUT it looks amazing.

Heres the links for the original photos.;
http://www.uboataces.com/history-gallery7.shtml

Heres its history link;

Heres my photos;

Very cool.

This one comes with skinned deckguns and few nice items.

Here you can see the nice conning tower textures.

She ready to hunt!

I made minor corrections to the original folders that was written IXC instead of IXB.

Download link here;
Type IXB

Or Type IXC MKII
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=346

This one Is U-boat U160 MKII IXC model. Both IXC and IXB are identical in look. Just IXC has IX/2 conning tower upgrade avaible should those want this option. IX/2 is compatible with IXB aswell.

Heres some photos;

This IXC U-160 is using the optional IX/2 conning tower.

Here's a closer look.

I give both 1024 and 2048 tga rez files. Tell me what you think. I hope you like it. I do.

Good luck and good hunting

If you guys are happy I'm happy. I do it for you all.

I figure Fubar, Steed, etc. they make these wonderful cool looking skins. I don't want to step onto there territory. So I choose to look at the originals and try to restore them and hope they work with SH3.

Very nice skins that make me want to leave my IXC and go back to IXB, just to enjoy the eyecandy. Congrats!

Actually.when I tried to enable your skin for my TypeIXB it didn't show up,in the JSGME folder it actually says 'TypeIXC' and thats what it works on for me

HMMMMmm Thats weird. I check the zipped file and only the folder name isn't correct. IXC but the actual files are. Did you try to import it to the VIIC dat file?

Anyhow its my fault so I'm going to fix a few things and re-issue it properly for VIIB and VIIC.

Ok I fixed the folder issue for IXB. and I made the IXC U-160 with and extra conning tower IX/2 upgrade as and option for the IXC. Tomorrow I will continue the work on XXI U-2511 and with the help of Racerboy and Koondawg I should be finished in a tomorrow night.

I hope!:hmm:

Heres a sneek peak pic of the XXI hull
