One thing driving me nuts is that unlike SH3, there is no upgrade timeline.
Has anyone made a guide basically laying out all the upgrades for each sub? Each patrol I return hoping for something new, but its a crapshoot when you don't even know when you'll get new torpedoes, conning towers, AA guns, etc. As some people said, I miss the upgrade system in SH3, how you could upgrade LOTS of aspects of your boat- speed, hydrophones, antisonar coatings, and better decoys. None of that is in this game ![]() |

Much to the annoyance of skippers like O'Kane and Fluckey who wanted to get right back into the fight asap and "didn't have time" for major refits... @incubus: As far as upgrading sub systems, you might want to look into the Real Fleet Boat mod, or Trigger Maru if you haven't already. Quite a number of realism issues have been addressed... Cheers! |
