Default Does BdU hate me?

So I decided to give GWX a try, after playing the unmodded version for a while. Upon starting a new game in '39, I noticed that my orders were all patroling out around England, and in one case, involved me taking the Strait of Dover, south of England, on my first patrol.

Currently I'm sailing the Kiel Canal on the way to an area North West of Ireland in a VII-B.

Is this just GWX upping the difficulty, or did I somehow get BdU angry at me?

I read some info about the English chanel and as i remember few uboats get thrue there in the begining of the war, but affter some time the area become to dangerous for the German.

I also want to add something.

There is a stock bug with patrol order area when you start in Kiel base, many times they just send me to the area how don`t even exict . Well that is no much of a problem when you play with sh3 Commander

Doenitz caught you stepping out with his wife and he's taken measures to see you won't be coming back.

When you are based in Kiel, you will get orders for locations around England. You just have to take the seinic route around Ireland. Don't worry about the extra time, as you will find sme targets along the way!

Yup, the Fair Isle Passage and scenic tour is the way to go. I just did that trip on a first patrol and got plenty of tonnage

Have you seen Doenitz's wife? The Lion brought his Lioness with him on a recent inspection to St.Nazaire...

...I'd rather sail through the Straights of Gibraltar on the surface than "step out" with that lady.

That is exactly what I was going to say when I read the thread title. :rotfl:

Nahh, But they do have an unemployed brother-in-law sleeping on their couch. He is just unmotivated. Not unqualified. And if an opening at work were to open up...

Now that's just mean :rotfl:

I remember spending months underway in the Pacific and Indian ocean, then docking at Subic Bay. You'd be suprised at what looks good after so much time at sea.

Greetings by the way.

All Kaleuns speaking poorly of Frau Doenitz will do well to remember the critical shortage of officers on the Eastern Front.

That is all.

I thought I heard car doors:hmm:

In any case, thanks for the welcome and help. Turns out my campaign didnt save, so I just started with the 2nd Flotilla and completed a patrol with only one sinking of about 2000 tonnes. The only other contact I had was with a British Task Force.

Thanks for the welcome...been a long time visitor here so decided to join up at last.

GWX 1.3 DID. Kapitanleutnant Dieter Wachmann, U-101. Jan '41 out of St.Nazaire. 3rd patrol...

Mightily impressed with GWX ! Recently attacked by a Hurricane off Cadiz, managed to evade his strafing runs then stayed on the surface to fight him off. He disappeared then an hour later an Anson wth bombs shows up and tried to sink me! Absolutely brilliant, obviously reported my position etc. This sim is amazing...as you all know.

Hats off to everyone involved...bloody marvellous!:p
