Of course it would have rained! My triumphal return from first patrol was wet. The blinking weather people don't understand that when a U-boat commander sinks 110151 BRT on his first patrol, he deserves good weather. Bdu was stingy with medals. Even though, I sank A Nelson, they gave gave me a lousy IC 2nd. The same as the 5 others for my officers. They did promote me to Oberleutnant z.S., though.

I can't complain too much about my boat, but U-53 sounds pedesrian, so I'm calling it Balzing Mathilda.

I may as well complain about my fellow Kaleuns. They all want recipies for ala Balz cuisine. Did anyone organize a welcome back Balz party for my return? Bleah.

Of course, few people understand or appreciate the masterful underwater warmanship that I practice.

Anyway, the Fuhrer and the other bigwigs have nothing to worry about. Balz is here to win the war .
