Default Last Mission

Last night I played my last mission in SH3. Intercepted a convoy east of Freetown and sunk a troop transport and a T3 Tanker, total 18000 tons....

...Today, I will be downloading GWX.

Let the adventure begin!

Thanks guys!

I was getting bored with the long trips to my patrol grid even with TC at max... Just curious, what are the chances of getting killed on your patrol in GWX?

1939 - 40/60
1940 - 50/50
1941 - 70/30
1942 - 80/20
1943 - 90/10
1944 - 99/1
1945 - 99/1

Just a rough idea. :hmm:

Getting killed? Hmmm. Depends on your style.

If you play arcade style then I'd say 99.9%!

If you play cautiously and cunningly then I'd guess approx. 5% per patrol...
Sometimes you just need a little bit of luck! **sigh**

Happy hunting!

The chances of getting killed are excellent. But, if you develop a strong crew, plan your attacks and evasions well, by the time things start getting really tough, you have a fighting chance.

Experience and good judgement pay off in GWX. I suggest starting your career in 39. By the time things get nasty you will have the needed experience.

I agree with Brag. Like the manual says, impatience will get you killed! When my careers end violently, it is always because I broke the rules that had made the boat successful - like real life.
Reading a book on the March '43 Convoy battles. The author (Middleton?) noted that in the lead up, the main casualties among uboats were the ones on first patrol, and also the agressive types - excellent patrols - then

CaptainNemo12 - Good luck on GWX, you won't look back!
