Default Breaking news: kaleun's latest navigation tool

Why would a kaleun use an old-fashioned map and compass when we have the advances of the digital age:

Link Here

or, otherwise,

go to http://maps.google.com
go to 'directions'
type 'Lorient, France' to 'New York'
enjoy the swim!

Why on earth does it route via : Rennes, Caen, Le Havre?

can't be that Le Havre is standard departure port for Altantic Shipping, because swimming is suggested!

I've found most of these route programs do weird things. Like sending you 30 miles north and then turning south!

Any way you don't need wheels on your U-boat, just a lowloader (if you can find one big enough!

All I can say is, that if I have to go to Le Havre first before going to NY in the later war years...well I can bet I am not going to make it to NY
