Default Using SH3Cmdr with GWX?

Ok, I downloaded and installed SH3Cmdr. Now, how do I start a new campaign via SH3Cmdr that boots it up in my GWX version of SH3? (I have two copys of SH3 installed... one modded with GWX and one vanilla, using MultiSH3).

Any help would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Also, what is the mod I need to use with GWX to be able to raise my radio direction finder (the loop thing).

open SH3 commander

on the left side of the screen there will be the following

SET UP FOR A NEW CAREER
SET UP FOR A SINGLE MISSION

click set up for a new career, this will open up a section where you can either Type in the commanders name on your own or you can click the RN button which will repeatedly cycle through random names.

Select a start year and month (Remember this for later)

Select your flotilla... if you cloick the [...] button it will give you info on the selected flotilla such as dates that they occupied what ports and what kinds of boats they used etc.

Select your U-boat type and U-number

You may then select to use the crew already in SH3 or pull the menu down and select "Historical crew" if you select historical crew some crewmwn will already have experience on other patrols with other boats, and may already have certain medals. when you decide what crew you want click the check box... you can leave the patrol grid blank.

--- The "SH3 OPTIONS" menu allows you to tweak settings to suit your play style such as realistic career lenght, real ship names in patrol log etc. more options on the menu at left in this screen.

Now that you have created a commander you can choose his picture from within the careers menu when you see his picture double click on it and just pick one thats available.

In the "EXISTING CAREERS MENU" you can click on your patrol grid and assign your own or just leave it normal like computer assigned.

you can also click the link for "CLICK FOR AVAILABLE ACTIONS"

this brings up several options

1. Review your personnel file will give you information such as back story of your commander and the names of ships sunk, how many tons on which patrols, etc.

2. manage your crew allows you to cycle through your crewmen and assign them medals and abilities (without having to deal with renown) even create and view a crew list for your U-boat.

3. You can "go to night club" and get the latest news and gossip

when you are ready to play just click "launch SH3"

when you get in the SH3 careers menu, load up the career for the captain you created via SH3 commander and select the cooresponding starting date and flotilla.... this must mach what you chose in SH3Commander.

have fun

To use SH3 Commander with GWX you need to add certain files. These are available form the GWX download site.

It's raised by default.

My radio direction finder is never raised... And I'm running GWX 1.03 so I don't get it... Is it because I'm using a type VIIB or what?

Normal position for GWX antenna is up. I'm in VIIB and it is up.
