Sorry, Gord and other readers,

Since I did that backflip on ice its been difficult for me to stay long at the keyboard. But I'm much better now, should be back to resembling normal by next week.

Who said he was going to be a captain? (hehe). I love to keep the reader guessing. But, while in limbo, some neat, surprise, ideas have crept in.

just curious. was there alot of foreign sailors from German backgrounds that joined the KM around the time of WW2? I remember reading there was quite a few Americans of German decent that joined the German Army and fought.

I don't know about the Kriegsmarine but Wermacht, Luftwaffe had Germans from all over the world.

An admiral in the 70's was originally from Brazil
