Default GWX, Sailboats??

Are they worth killing? I started in 1939 and out of Kiel, I see a coulple of british sailboats and sink them with my flak gun..

One thing I love about this GWX is the music everytime you shoot and hit a boat, or it sinks, its very touching, I also love the fact ( little details are awesome ) That you don't hear that creepy bulkhead crushing sound from a dinky wooden sailboat.

What else am I in for with this game??

and to finish this out.. Can I ask you all what the best sub I should shoot for starting out in 39 and in Kiel??

When should I upgrade to the next boat? Should I go right for the VII or wait for something better?

I let sailboats go.
A type II canoe then a VII, followed by a IX is a nice career progression that will give you a variety of patrols.
Good hunting.

Sailboats are a brilliant target practice for the flak gunners

Awesome THANKS!!

I bought the type IIB or D, whatever the next one was, due to fuel issue's. I wanted to have a bigger tank..

In anycase This GWX gave me the most sureal feeling I have ever felt in a computer game, I was attacking a merchant ship and after watching it sink ( about 10 minutes real time, it was great ) I forgot I didn't have many people on the bridge and they screamed "AIRCRAFT SPOTTED" I ws thinking this was the stock SH3 game and thought I had plenty of time, when I looked for myself, I realized they were right on top of me!
I thought hitting P depth would do the trick, till I realized they were even closer than I thought, I quickly hit C

I dived in the nick of time, it was GREAT!!
