Default And now for something completely different...

Ok. I don't like the lack of FSAA, too. And yes, the problems with higher resolutions are kinda worrying. Ah, and the sounds seem to be somewhat lacking. Ok.

But: I'm actually still happy to finally play a Pacific War subsim again. That is, when I get the game on the 22nd. Hopefully.

And before I cut my wrists, kneeling on a pentagram surrounded by torches, wearing a hat made of the pages of the U-boat commanders handbook, cursing the greedy software industry in general, Ubisoft in particular, and romanian developers just for the heck of it, writing UBI SuXX0rS!!111 with my own blood on the wall before I pass out, I thought I'd ask a last favour:

Is there anything you actually like about Silent Hunter 4?

Hehe...thanks Warhawk. The 1st link unfortunately contains much negative waves... and the second one lacks posts explaining what exactly they like about SH 4. Is it the ship's models? The missions? The overall artwork? I try to see the positive things (as well as the negative, of course), so I'd just like to hear some sort of "you know what's really cool in SH4? Well, try to....", this kind of stuff.

You know:

"Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?"

Human nature is to see the bad before the good....well for most people this day in age. My recommendation, purchase the game and make your own assumption of it. That is what I'm doing. Pick it up tomorrow Suck or not, IMHO it will be patched and modded into a great game.
