Here are the key points from the preview for those who are impatient:

Again, I'll keep it mostly to stuff thats new for us...

- The demo shown shows SH4 at about 80% complete
- Most of the same keyboard commands have stayed
- The interface has been redesigned (enough screenshots and videos around to show that in detail)
- The notebook targetting method is gone and everything is done through the TDC directly.
- During attacks lights flicker and dials shatter etc, but injured and dead crew members also fall to the ground.
- The Damage control has become considerably more complex, and a little adjusting to the new system might be needed. (no more detail on this).
- Be prepared to set the graphics on high to see all the cool effects we've seen in screenshots

Good stuff Boris - thanks. So in this preview we are told the above regarding damage control - but Neal's preview seemed to indicate that the cut-away stuff will not be there. Wonder how that's all gonna work.

Well obviously all that's happened is that it is no longer being represented by a cut-away sub, but it has infact been improved.

At least that's the way I read it.

You see that is what I am struggling w/ here. How does one improve this aspect of the game by taking away the visual presentation? Or is the info. presented visually another way? In which case why not stick w/ the familiar, and much loved, cut-away?
