Default I Am The Greatest Kapitan In History

I am. Just so you know.

I've sunk four times the tonnage of the Kriegsmarine's next best U-Boat ACE. I am not only nearly invincible, but I have sank so much tonnage I am single-handedly changing the tide of the war. I simply drip decorations and medals.

And then . . .

I maxed the realism level. And I stopped using save games.

Now I don't know where I am half the time. I can't see a blasted thing but my own grouchy crewmen. My navigation maps look like they have been scribbled on by a deranged monkey who's had too much coffee. I finally get lined up finally for a perfect shot and I actually miss! At least I think I miss - may be duds.

Now I'm lucky to limp back to port with 20% of what I used to do in tonnage. Instead of the full marching band and the pretty girls waving and throwing flowers, I get a drunk trying to burp out a tune, and an old sea hag asking if I have any spare change.

What happened, man? I used to be beautiful.

Ah the cruel irony of realism where we put ourselves into the game instead of
our self images.

I conquered stock SH3 on 100% realism 39-45 I forget how long it took, GWX on the other hand is a whole new game and very, very deadly.

The chance of becoming are good for the Allies, bad for us.

But hey I am not complaining GWX

Christ Rykaird, get a grip man! You're still way ahead of me;

U-334 expended 7 torps to sink a congolese skiff and used up all of her deck gun ammo on what later turned out to be a cloud. (but it was a pretty scary looking one, in my defense). Ended up docking in Kiev...
Kiev, Kiel...it's an easy mistake to make if you're not paying suuuper close attention- haha, the joke was on me on that one.

Great post, Rykaird!

Yeah, getting hit with that reality stick is a real waker-upper sometimes.

Am I nutz? Or going nutz? Like a chariot of fire, a Black Swan from hell, with its crew enveloped in flames, kept dropping salvoes of 20 DCs on top of me. Good thing I have some booze stashed under my bunk. GWX is driving me to drink.

Sounds great. I assume in this proud club you don't start your career in 1939 - Tommy isn't too organized then. Maybe '43?

With AVG, even 1939 does the job... Just make a run through the Channel...

I did that in late '39 in easy mode, in order to save fuel. What a death trap. No wonder people swim across it - damn thing is so shallow if you got tired you could just stand up and take a rest.

I once tried the channel in early war to save fuel...or something. I encountered like 3 destroyers unfortunantely I was to aggressive and sunk 2...the third saw my torp and began to search for me...and in that shallow water....
