Default Good Hunting Grounds for an IXB

I have an IXB in November 1940 and was just wondering where the best hunting grounds were for single merchants because im still getting the hang of attacking convoys in GWX

Thanks

BF22 is active. With the fuel you carry you can go just about anywhere

Default Tankers Galore

Schkpf, head down to ED 7* or 8* (between Curacao and Port of Spain) for lots of single Tanker traffic. T3's, T2's and T1's mostly, but a few Cargo ships as well. Cheers EmeAzul

Anywhere around the British and Irish Coast and in the area around Gibraltar and Freetown. Later on you can also try the areas around Cuba, Mexico and the whole US Eastern Coast. Good Hunting

In 1940? I think id take me a little cruise over to the Halifax / St Johns area and find me a convoy to latch on to, or raid St Johns harbor. Just don't go in too far into St johns, theirs a few mines there as i recall.

Merchants, including tankers, come through BF17 all the time.

1940!!.sorry I never read your original post properly
So I'd go with Ducimus then.....the staging grounds/collection points for mega numbers of convoys.......Halifax/St. Johns

I acutally had one of those convoy's spawn on top of me once. Didnt help i had 1024 TC on at the time, while crusing close inshore on the surface. One moment empty sea's, next moment im in the middle of a huge convoy with two escorts shelling me from 3,000 meters away. It was... quite painful.

Lots of singles come through Gibraltar at the time your looking at. Its a great chock point. Some TFs too.

I love the IXB, with Fubar's Camo skin its even better.
