I've seen Black Swans operate as hunter-killer teams, one listens while another one or two do the dirty on you. Things get pretty sticky when they do that.

Yep, they're modeled, and tough to shake off once they get their teeth in you. I dumped TWO bolds over the side once and managed to slip away by the skin of my teeth. Came up to peri and took a peek for the heck of it. Four DDs sitting in a circle around the bolds, planes flying overhead pounding the seawater into foam, then three DDs would take turns dumping their racks over the Bold cannisters.

I get the shakes everytime I think about it...

So the Decoys do work?

Is the anti sonar coating worth it?

Every little bit helps. Even though it just may be little more than a placebo, it reduces the deflected sonar rays a little. So it may give you exactly that little edge you need to slip away.

i tried attacking a task force in 1945 (GWX)
i got away without a scratch
sunk a carrier and damaged a DD
got pounded the next 5 hours
i was around 260 meters
not a single bold used

Well the long break is over the big D has decided to put me back to sea.

Check List for 1944

Better ear plugs
plenty of spare pants
Said good bye to the wife and kids
Said good by to the mistress
Said good by to the other mistress

Yes they are!!! I ran into one with a CVE and surrounded by DD. I made my approach but these boys move fast. Anyway, I was not in a good position and I could only watch as the Luftwaffen showed up and started bombing the CVE. They got it smoking but the CVE did not slow down. Eventually you will stumble up them

Amongst all the other assorted HK groups out there, it's my understanding that the GWX boys included an all-elite HK group to simulate Johnny Walker' group. Beware!

Johnny Walker...my favorite. Especially the black label scotch. We are talking about scotch right?
