They are almost always far too fast to shadow!

I would spend the torp on a keel shot on the smallest cruiser. That way you *might* get a kill.

in fact...if your really that desperate for extra gun ammo you can go to:
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIIIGWX\data\Cfg Basic....and change the quantities yourself

I do that is Stock, but not in GWX.

Last night I was up near Scapa Flow zooming off my patrol grid, full of Torps, my Sonarman reported a warship behind me, closing but I guessed I was safe and ignored it, I only zoomed into the map when it was well in front of me and noticed it was a task force with Rodney and some Southampton classes, flying at 21knts, was gutted, had the perfect opportunity to get into position and cause some damage

Fill some plastic bags with the crews farts (should be no problem since you've been on patrol for a long time and everyone had eaten this bad food long enough) dive under the BB, sqeeze the bag out the countermeasure-launcher, get to a save distance and fire your single torp to detonate that sh*t.....
