I've seen him mentioned in every other thread here but who is this guy? Based on the context in which his name is invoked, it sounds like he's some kind of gremlin.

Bernard is the owner/operator of SubSim. He tries to hide his true identity by calling himself "Neal."

FYI - There is actually a member of Subsim called Bernard Dummkopf, not seen him around lately though. Probably a good thing.
