Reasons not to "buy" a type IX

I'd really like to get a type IX boat but there are several reasons why I don't do it:

First of all I hate Lorient, it's just such a little harbor. You don't have much room to maneuver and TC does not allow you to go faster (I know that you can change that with SH3 Commander, but it's still a reason for me

) Secondly (in 1942) you don't get the "Falke" torpedo. It's such a neat weapon against escorts, but apparently only the VII boats get it.
So what do you think: Should I get one, is it worth it?:hmm:
