Lovely. I'd been in 558 for a look round whilst she was still in RAF hands, when I was an air cadet. Wish I'd paid more attention and took some pics but cameras were banned with all the shiny new E-3Ds outside.

Probably hard to teel from the pictures but the Alsation was some size

You don't really realise just how big the Vulcan is when it's flying overhead at an airshow, but when you stand next to the nose wheel...

There is no "Frontwards" or "backwards" with a flag. When a flag is drawn it is customary to put the field on the left. That said, it's common practice when painted on vehicles of any type that the flag is shown with the field toward the front, as if it were seen streaming to the rear. On the other side of the plane I'm sure the flags are "frontwards".

So no "" at all.
