I can't find anything about copyright.
Do we need to prove we are the copyright holders for all source images or other resources used, including programs? Or are wee all fine using google images for material? If so, how far from the source image must it be manipulated etc.? Are you happy for us to leave our own copyright marks on the images? Do you accept entries that are copyrighted by us, the creator at all? Is it for commercial use?

"images submitted become the property of Subsim.com and Subsim retains rights to full and exclusive use of the art." So if I submit something, I won't then be able to display it elsewhere or otherwise use it without subsim's permission? I'm not to chuffed about that. You won't accept entries that are Open Source and free to use by all? Your call of course.

I will accept art using Open Source material, you decide what to create, in the end I will have to decide if I feel comfortable using it. For example, if someone makes a wallpaper that is basically the Das Boot DVD cover with some changes, I probably won't use it. Looking forward to what you have in mind, Letum! ![]() thanks Neal

My very favourite entry is 8th - the lonely life boat drifting in the heavy mist. To say the truth, it's the only one that struck me immediately, on sight. The only one that elicited what I feel is true about fighting in an iron coffin:
loneliness sadness water horror slow death cold stealth and surprise. I love the way mist mixes with sea water. I like the light. The picture is unreal, fantasctic, makes you to imagine what's below and behind, "turns on your mind". Nothing is straightforward clear - nor what happened just minutes before, nor what's next to come. This picture is the only that stopped me for a long while and made me stare at it. In fact I still do.

system rigged to be animated. The water (should) flow off the decks and outer hull holes every time the boat reaches a certian degree of rotation (Dreamscape dynamicaly moves the boat in the water, but the particle controlors are my own). The only photoshopping done here is a little sharpening of the water spray at the front and a little bluring of the deck wash as well as a little extre detail in the sky. I am going to work on the particle system some more to get it looking right as well as the sky. With a bit of luck it will form part of a short animation (There is a small clip of another bit of it in my sig.). And thankyou very much.
