I was wondering if I could get the Interior folder .dat files of only the things this mod adds. For example if it is the stock new interior, its just the interior mod files in the .dat minus stock SH3 interior files in the .dat.
I have been modding for years and I like to add the mods manually and as this mod adds many new entries in the Interior .dat files I would like just what is added. This way I can add the files myself, on top of my interiors. Thank you, if anyone can help me with this. pditty |

Do you have any works for that mod? Or all works for SH3 are dead with SH5?

yep, i also get the feeling, sh3 is reviving...
sh5 has elemental lacks in gameplay. this is where the key of all successful games comes into the focus: a good gameplay even makes odd looking games very likeful -> pacman, super mario, bubbles, etc. sh5 has a lot of possibilites and nice graphics. but as to the missing key points of a good subsim, it never got my real attention. bought it, played it ONE time, modded some fx, forgot it on my hd. since i only read about the new enhancements.

The interior of my VIIB looks fantastic, but I do have a problem I can not seem to find listed in the forum. When I hit "shift+E" the camera dumps me in front of a closed aft hatch (which does not open) and, when I pass through the closed hatch, I am left in a blackened environment. If I rotate the camera 180 degrees, I am able to see back into the lit command center.
Does anyone see a problem below or have any suggestions? My JSGME MOD list is enabled in the order as follows: Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157 OLC 'Gold' MkII ~ Option 3 ~ Environment with EDE and GUI Conning Tower open Hatch _Fix_for_OLC_GUI_1 OLC 'Gold' MkII ~ MkIId Update (Enable After MkIIc) DFant_subFlag_2010 FM30_UpDown_final DD_OH_V3.09_20091209162038 FM_NewInterior_V1.0 FM_NI_Fix_for_OLC_GUI_001 FM_NI_Fix_for_Anvart_FM30_UpDown OS: Windows 7 64-bit Processor: Intel I7 Dual Core 3.2 RAM: 8 Gigs Graphic Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 w/ 1 Gig RAM |

I forgot to mention that I see no galley area either, though the quantity of food stored around the command center has certainly increased. |

Sure, no problem...
If it's not a clash with DD's mod, then I'm thinking it's most likely due to something altering the Cameras.dat and/or the Commands_XX.cfg files. I'd look for any conflicts where these files are being overwritten. Cameras.dat can be found in the SH3\data\Library folder, whereas the Commands files are located in SH3\data\Cfg. The issue with the 'blackened environment' is probably due to the camera being out of range, (thereby making Cameras.dat a suspect). Just rambling here, (ie. thinking out loud), but as I recall when I activated FM_NewInterior and DFant_subFlag_2010, I edited the Command file to allow them to work together smoothly with no conflicts. Aside from that, there doesn't appear to be anything else in your mod layout that should derail NI to such an extent. Do you have any grayed out mods? And if so, what files are being overwritten? ![]() |

Moin Kitzbuell,
Quote:
Btw, why have you enabled 'Conning Tower open Hatch _Fix_for_OLC_GUI_1' with no 'Conning Tower OH' in your mod list? Did you, by any chance, miss one or another entry? Can you post a screenie of JSGME? Regards, DD

Ahoy DD,
First, let me say that I have been a huge fan of your SH3 MOD s over the years. Thank you for your many efforts making this my most enjoyable gaming experience (almost to the total exclusion of all other simulations). Since my last post, I have tried to simplify my MOD list down to the bare minimum to try and work through my problems with the New Interior MOD as I am desperately wishing to try it and see what you have managed to accomplish. To be clearer of where I am at: I am using Thallium version of GWX on my hardware patched to 1.4 and have removed the starforce protection to run disk free. I have disabled all other MODs I had listed in my original post and have now only JSGME enabled the New Interior MOD by itself and am having the same results as described before (no galley/no head/no engine room); but the interior of the command center definitely is not the one I had in my previous patrols on my existing career. There's much more detail with the gages and hardware (especially the provisions and periscopes). I am currently docked in Wilhelmshaven at the end of my last patrol when I exited the game and loaded OLC's various MKII Gold GUI MODs, the Antenna up/down MOD, the Pennant up/down MOD and the New Interior MOD with the appropriate "fixes" following the order listed on the document included in the download. I tried running SH3 both without your open hatch MOD and without in my attempts to see the additional areas of the VIIB that the New Interior MOD should have allowed me to enter and view. BTW. You were correct. I guess in my frustration I may have installed the Conning Tower Hatch Fix without having the Conning Tower Hatch MOD enabled (must have been getting a bit fraid at the ends by that point). I had read in a post in the forum that one person seemed to be describing similar problems as I (location out of frame or something though when I saw that text in the free cam image I was in blackness looking into the interior of the Command Center as I originally described) and that enablng the Conning Tower Hatch MOD (not the "fix" )somehow corrected his issues so that they could enter and view the engine room animation, etc. My test of that suggestion may now be invalid if I only enabled the "fix" without having enabled the original Conning Tower Hatch MOD instead. Though I am not sure that this should have any effect upon accessing the engine room animation and such, I did run the SH3 Commander files for OLC's MKII Gold GUI MOD without using JSGME so they would have to be manually overwritten (or SH3 Commander re-installed to return to the original files). With my admittedly limited knowledge of your area of expertise here, I assumed those overwritten files in SH3 Commander would have nothing to do with "camera.dat files". I would hate to lose my current career again so soon, but I have used a great many MODs using JSGME since I reloaded my SH3 software and began actively playing this simulation once more, disabling and enabling at will as I try out MODs to see if they improve my games experience to my satisfaction (as well as my own curiosity to see the ideas and concepts the talented MODders here at SubSim have created). Any idea where the problem may lie, DD? Should you need any further information to assist, please, don't hesitate to ask. Thank You for Everything and Good Hunting Last edited by Kitzbuell; 08-04-11 at 06:51 PM. Reason: Forgot Something |
