True, we used it all up shutting down AP the week before

As someone who watched him every game, I have to correct this.

He does not look to run all the time like RG3 or Cam Newton.

He is a great pocket passer. He can go deep, he can lead a reciever, he is no slouch. He slides, and runs out of bounds, rather than taking stupid hits. He threw it away when he could have ran for 2 yards. He is smart.
The plays he got his run yards last week were from read options, called by coaches, using the qbs judgement as he sees the play unfold. In other words, the O-line pulls for a run, while the recievers blow deep, it is lethal against man to man defenses.

Now as a counter they can play zone, then Colin kills them with his strong arm, and great accuracy and reciever leading ability.

Not saying you know nothing about football sir, just saying this kid is not a flash in the pan youngin' like Christian Ponder, or RG3.

This kid is the complete package.

To see a guy, second year execute read plays like this is pretty darn good.

I am sure they will have a defense, but will they stop it?

He averages like 10 more pass attempts than Smith, and doubled their point output.

Alex Smith would have lost the regular season games against the Pats.

As a human being soopaman I need to correct this. I simply stated his running performance will be countered at the next game. I don't see him running the ball 181 yards. I'm not sure how you amassed half of a page in accolades for QB of the 49'ers from my statement. Sheesh.

I was just simply stating what I saw from all the games I watched him in, compared to the ESPN highlights of one game you saw.

You judged him one one game, I judged him on a half a season.
(edit, I was simply stating what sets him apart from the stereotypical "running QB")

You are still my favorite plane, well next to the A-10 Warthog, please don't beat me too bad! :P

I judged no one. I stated his running like he did will be defended against. Get it right. Read my posts concerning his running. But you may read into anything you like.

Thats fine. But what about his arm? He did throw for 260 plus that game too.

Not trying to break your balls, but you went out of your way to minimize him, when you seen very little of him. I was simply telling you what I saw of him.

I admit he will not match 180 plus yards rushing, but the fact he did that should be a warning to all. I, in my longwinded way above, was telling you he can hurl the ball too.

Lets just go back to talking about RG3 and the Manning brothers, ya know real quarterbacks, with respect. (But sitting home right now)

Make up your mind. Is RG3 a flash in the pan or a real QB?

Also, in order to be a flash in the pan, there had to be a "flash" which I've never seen from Ponder.

The read option is a staple of running QB play. Atlanta used it with Vick. Philly used it with Vick. Washington uses it with RG3. San Fran uses it with Kaepernick.

Speaking of Kaepernick, he was 17/31 for 267 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. He rushed 16 times for 181 yards and 2 TDs. While the passing stats are decent, it's clear that we're not talking Peyton Manning here. What broke the game was the run. As much as you may not want to admit it, the 49ers have a runner in Kaepernick. Both he and RG3 are very much in the Vick mold. A pocket passer he is not.

I was being sarcastic with RG3, I thought I beat on him enough here for people to know I think he is a joke.

As For Ponder, he did great this year with a not so good team. He also caught alot of hype, and faded fast.

Did you see how he answered that INT, that came second play of the game? He drove down the field.
The guy got a poise, that Alex Smith does not, plus he can actually go for the long ball.

Crap on him all you want, but eventually he will earn his respect. Peyton caught this treatment, so did Brady after they switched from Bledsoe, Steve Young did too upon replacing Joe Montana. Haters gonna hate.

I will still love my team, and the great things they have done.

Crap on him? I said the guy makes plays with his feet. He does. Why do you have such a hang up with that? Vick is and was a great quarterback. Defenses had to create entire schemes just to counter him. How is comparing Kaepernick to a player like that crapping on him?

He had a good game, but placing Kaepernick among four of the top ten quarterbacks of history is, to say the least, premature.

Dude, it's just football. Chill.
