Yes, but it has won a new quality in the public's endless debates with itself. More and more things slide so that when you call a politically incorrect opinion "insane", it is meant as that for real, the meaning of a mental disease from which society must cure the subject. That may be part of the explanation why correctness and its activists have become more and more intolerant will a surprising amount of totalitarianism and force to enforce their "therapies" and "cures" (you should listen in to some of the suggestions coming from the Green and the left in Germany).

It's no longer just rhetorically meant, but often is implied or meant as being fact. Disagreeing with the wanted opinion becomes evidence for your mental problems, your "insanity". Education camps come next. That they want a legal obligation that parents have to expose their children to Kindergardens already at the age of 1 year although medical and psychological research shows that this means so much stress and fear that it is damaging to the children's health (immune system defects) and personality development (concentration deficits, risen risks for later neurosis and personality disorders), must be seen in this context. Of course the idea is most loved by the left and Green: the individual means nothing, it's dissolving in the collective means everything.

I would think the same truth could be said about most of the people/countries in the world. Who do they think the Taliban hang out with?

I tell you if you would meet some educated guy from let's say the Roan or Ancient Greek era, his (standardized against the time context) education would outclass yours, and he even more probably would outwit you.
Whereas an educated modern person like Stephen Hawking would wheel circles round the intelligent greek or roman, as long as the dumb eugenics fans don't get their dream of restarting the T4 program to "improve" the breeding stock

Before you keep on giggling, do some research yourself, and you will find that this is a theory that currently is hotly debated in science, since several years.
Indeed......Erbkrank, Das Erbe, Obfer der verangenheit, Was du erebst, Sunden der vater, Alles lieben ist kampf......plenty of material on the theory.

Again it's nothing new in human or even western history. The players and the topics change but the purposes and intentions do not. Extend ones control over the population and outlaw or marginalize the opposition. Any reason will do. In an earlier time they would just have declared them heretics or counter-revolutionaries.

What does this have to do with anything? What, im mandated to have a friend of a different race now? (I have MANY friends of a different race, by the way) Because people who dont have friends of another race are clearly segregating themselves from other races? And they reach this conclusion based off of the answers of 4170 americans? The surveys they do sometimes are so pointless i swear. Yellow Journalism at its finest.

I personally think that violent video games have no effects on a properly educated person.

Now the term "Properly Educated" is debatable.

I just don't think they cause many problems.

I don't listen to much rap...if anything, a little bit of hip hop...but for me, Country and Rock FTW.

A mixed race of bi-sexual atheist is our only hope of civility?

Sure, but in the West we have had kind of an intermezzo of creative optimism and civil rights, liberal spirit and founding entrepreneurs, humanistic philosophy, educated burgeois classes and a focussing on justice, ration and reason. Much of that is coming to an end, or is in the phase of terminal decline, it seems to me.

Many years ago, America was referred to as "The Great Melting Pot" - meaning different ethnicities and cultures could come together in one large society. Unfortunately, many are unwilling to let their culture combine with any other, else it be "diluted".

I am half German, part Irish and Scottish, with a bit of Cherokee and African in me. I look "Caucasian". I am not a "German-Irish-Scot" American - I am an American. Hyphenation and holding onto distinct racial and ethnic culture out of fear - as many in society do, only continues to reinforce racial and ethnic stereotypes - creating chasms that need to be bridged.

I get along with people of many ethnicities - and I can't stand a number of other people from those same ethnicities. Why? Because some people don't see everything as some sort of challenge to their "culture". Others do - and those that do need to grow the heck up and get a clue.

Societal segregation exists not only due to economic and educational differences, it also exists because many people of "minorities" choose for it to do so out of a misguided concept that if they are not "ethnic" enough, they will lose their "culture".
