I've reconsidered. Scariest game I ever played:

Boot Sector not found

Yeah I played that a few times but there s a scarier one called "Disk boot failure". for the last decade have kept all my Data on seperate physcial drives from OS, now it all sits on a RAID1 - which is self it backed up monthly, C: is for OS and programs and NOTHING else, though even that is imaged just in case....
I still have the MP3s I downloaded from Napster back in 2000 on 56k dial up

I don't remember exactly where it is on the map, but there is an extensive set of caverns somewhere in Morrowind where (apparently) the Sleepers like to hang out. There were signs of them everywhere down there. I spent most of a night raiding the place, sneaking around corners and feeling genuinely unsettled. It was a bit creepier than most Daedric ruins and abandoned strongholds I had come across.

I LOVE Morrowind, especially the expansion pack Bloodmoon.
Looking forward to the new game in late 2011,Skyrim! From what i've seen copious amounts of sexual stimulation by one's self will be had by all!

Pong was by far the scariest game ever created.

I spent WAY too much time on Morrowind back in the day. Those sleeper caverns creeped me out. The noise the sleeper bells made was really creepy. I think you could even use the bell hammer as a weapon, but I don't remember. I think there was a sleeper cave northwest of Hla Oad or Gnaar Mok, but I don't remember. It was by that daedric statue where you can get Goldbrand after doing the daedric quest.

Silent Hill 3 Was disturbing.....VERY disturbing. very scary too.

Dead space and Dead space 2 were also very disturbing, and made me have aheart attack sometimes when the sneaky bastids pop out of a vent, even though i feel im always ready, there are times when you dont expect it and they burst out tof the vent, or come up from behind.

But Back in the day, when i was much younger, i played Alien Versus predator 2. pretty old game. So i was sent, alone, to restart generators.
As a human, you get motion detectors. EVERY movement shows up. Including the slight sway of a small hook, or ANYTHING. For 30 minutes i hear things rumbling around, get contacts here and there of swaying little objects. saw shadows ect.

The suspense was killing me. And when i actually DID see an alien, i nearly fell out of my damned chair.

Fallout 3 and New vegas gave me some jumps when a ghoul or something comes up from behind.

He's right. There's nothin' back here.

The first Stalker and the first Silent Hill. I was playing that bit in the hospital at 3am when I first ran into those manky ghost baby things. And that big empty room where the telephone suddenly rings. Totally cliched, totally predictable, totally nearly cacked myself.

I've been running through the marine campaign in Aliens versus Predator 2 over the last couple of days - nothing like the blip of the motion detector for putting you on edge!

Yes! that damned blip around a corner gets my blood going, and i charge in full auto and it turns out to be a swaying crane hook. Then my motion detector doesnt detect ANYTHING when i first see an alien burst out of the ceiling.
