All but 1 and 3. I don't have 5. I hated the campaign in 2 and the drama to get it to market, plus the killer ai. And 4, where to start. Atleast four is fun with the mods, I never really went back to 2.

I disagree. You need to swap #3 and #4 around.

Actually, I think the answer would more likely be:

SH3/GWX
SH3/GWX
SH3/GWX
SH3/GWX
SH3/GWX

Dang, you had to remind me of that...erm...classic.

Anyway, I didn't vote as I haven't played SH5. Although I still think I'd choose SH2 as the baddest (wtf word is that?). Scripted missions really killed it for me.

Of course, this is a very unfair thread as all those who love SH5 (and thus can defend it) are too busy playing it to be here posting (or so they keep coming here to post ).

I found that it gathers dust quite nicely. Please accept my apologies.

SH5 is the worst case.
It unites the bugs from SH3 and SH4 into a new game with many new bugs.

I stopped modding and playing SH5.

I think with SH5 it all depends on your internet connection, i couldn't play it for more than 20 min before it would kicked me out, then about a week after 5 came out my main pc died and i kinda just curled up in a ball and cried. So i reverted back to SH4 and now usng an older pc that can play SH4 well but would die also if i tried to lplay Sh5 with it.

Some have no problems at all with the game. So i put it down to my sh*tty connection cause the main pc could handle it by far

SH2 was buggy, I remember playing the mod Aces of the Pacific for months on end and another mod where it was close to a dynamic campaign as it could get - ''Aces Random Campaign 2.0''. What Dowly said also the waves motion in SH2 were the best yet

Haha! SH2 had them bugs. And if you look at it now, can't even install it. (Installer froze)

I have a hard time arguing against that, cause i know it's true. Overall bugathon, yup, defiantly SH5.

But at worse state of release? I still say SH4. SH5 wasn't limited to some low screen resolution like SH4 was, and SH5 didn't come with a "boss key" that put you to the desktop at the press of a button like SH4 did either.

Remember how most would screamed about star-force and SH3? It was way beyound the DRM issues because it actualy disabled some peoples CD drives. Not to mention how NOT finished the game was... hmm rinse and repeat.

Me thinks people are just using it to vent on SH5, as its the most recent in memory.
Who actually properly wieghed it up against the earlier games?
Hell, did all the SH5 voters actaully play all the previous games?
I doubt it.

Worthless poll.

Yep and also it had the insta CTD crew management button and the corrupted saves.

And still does. I've gotten so used to ignoring that button I don't even notice it's there. I've never had a save problem, but that could be because I've never played it long enough.

how do they delay a game like ruse to improve on it, yet rush sh5 out the door? that is upsetting. live action stratego gets more time in development for some strange reason.

The big killer for me on sh2 was the all-knowing AI I only had played for about 20 min, when I realized something was fishy with the game.

For sh4, I think they spent too much time putting easter eggs in the game.

Atleast sh3 was good out of the box.

This pole is a no-brainer. SH5 is definitely the one that was released 'in baddest state'. You just have to read the threads.
I don't remember ever reading so many complaints and such bad reviews, even thinking back to SH2.
As for SH1, I admit not reading any forums about it, but from my playing experience it's a pretty solid game out of the box.
