WHAT?!?!?

I hang out in pretty liberal circles, and I can confirm that Dems view infidelities as negative just as much as Republicans do.

It would be interesting to take an informal poll on what bothers people about this

1. The fact that this guy creeped
2. The fact that this guy abandoned his office of governor by sneaking off

Personally I am more concerned with 2

1 makes him a bad person but there is nothing that says that a bad person can't be a governor.

2 makes him a bad governor.

Looking at the last crop of sex scandals, it seems that what sinks the politician concerned is not the affair itself, more the lying and trying to cover it up.

Hence Sanford's sackcloth and ashes routine.

Platapus - If I was on Sanford's staff/PR team, I'd be seriously angry. He's made a joke out of his office.

He was having sex with another women behind his wife's back, what is he supposed to have a press conference and go "Hey I'm having a quick shag with an Argentinian babe, don't tell my wife please." :rotfl:

An exemplary moralist.

The higher the posture, the deeper the fall.

Not again! Isn't this something Fox news is very fond of doing? Claiming these sex scandal gop'ers are dems? What a subtle move.

edit. Oh, read mookiemookie's post, thanks for that, very enlightening.

Either one in my opinion makes him unfit for office.

That whole 'content of charecter thing'.

IF you want to break it down by partys it appears to be a 'tie'
