Since FOTRS is based off TMO, those names are the various zones of the ocean. I'm not exactly sure what the names are for, but I like them. That file path in the dialog box is the location where your screenshots are placed. It is quite common for that to be there, although sometimes it may not appear.
Various code names assigned to the map by US forces for encryption purposes.
Similar to the way the Kriegsmarine map is divided up in SH III.

Default I tried it..

One hell of a lot of hard work has gone into this, and i thank the modders. .Now for the weak points I.M.H.O... No crew rank for anybody below chief, minus key will not stop the engines,compass is way to big it blocks off part of the torpedo panel,no sound of the torpedo doors opening, no tails. Sub marker does not show up in game play even after being deleted, and continous and dashed lines appear with them being deleted.. Irritating little S.O.B. aren't i?? Any ideas on how to fix all of the above??

dude dont play with "tails" on. You will be much happier without them.

FORS.is based on TMO.,So reversing Procedures,will work similarly,as outlined in Duci's read-me. I have found that the Sea folder,is difficult to remove .dds_dot files,because .tga files,are missing for new ships installed in Sea folder.The mod CTD.because these files aren't found. AOTD Madmax,is tied-up,but promised to get back to work in weeks to come,so hopefully

Thanks for the mod.

I'm experiencing very slow speeds for downloading the mod. Any chance of increasing the download bandwidth?

Default Nvidea 8800GTX Help For Those who may Need it

I installed FRS. I run a BFG 8800GTX w/768 Video RAM and for the life of me I could not keep the game running even after I tried ALL nvidea drivers right up to the MOST current 178!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I went back and installed nhancer and set it up according to the notes in that other thread about nvidea problems:

iam very busy in this days with my new job so it took a little time to finish the Bugfix for the english FOTRS-Version.

New contents of the Bugfix are some new ships like this :

Hi Captains,

i will tell you something about the newest update for FOTRS comming up in December.

First we debuged some things in the campaign.
The English-Version is now fully English, no more german shipnames and so on.
Some new Units ( Ships and Planes ) are integrated to the scene.

Another brand new thing is the new planeflight-management.
With an small tricky thing iam able to let the fighters attack you in a high speed low level flight about 10 Meters obove waterline.
How does it work ?

Remember, the torpedobombers came along in an low level flight for bringing their torpedo to the target.
The torpedoloadout is the thing which let them fly so deep.
If you give an fighter an torpedo, he will also fly deep above the waterline. Same to all other planes.

So ive made some invisible Airtorpedos with no sound, no explosion and no splasheffect, they couldnt harm you but this torpedodummys are the reason why fighters can attack your boat in an low level flight.
Adding more Bombnodes to the fighters and loading the fighter with those dummys bring the effect.

This kind of attack is much more harmfull for any kind of ship cause they got more hits with their guns on the target. :rotfl:
Shooting this deep flying fighter with your flak is nearly impossible.
You can choose the kind of attacking of an fighter by the loadout.
If you choose "Elite" Loadout, they got this dummys and attack you in a low level flight.

Here are the new Units :

Planes :

G4M Betty as an Torpedobomber with 30mm Gun in the Nose :



You can see the new japanese Airtorpedo.

The Betty attacks you in a low level flight while the first attack is with the real torpedo.
All other attacks will come with the dummy´s.
They are deadly.

An other new unit is the Nakajima Ki 88 Hayate, coming to the scene in 1944 !



Here you can see her attacking you in a low level flight !



Here some new ships :

1.) US Supplyship based on an Victory



2.) JP Supplyship /Miner




3.) Heavy armed japanese Fleettanker



Release for this package should be in december 2008 !
