[REL] "Fall of the rising Sun!"
 

First of all we would like to mention that TMO (Trigger Maru Overhauled by Ducimus on www.subsim.com) was the base and inspiration of this modpack. Special thanks to Ducimus and all other modders for their work ! In addition we would like to note, that “Fall of the rising sun” is just a modpack and not a mod for itself. That means, that “FOTRS” is a bundle of many already existing modifications. The copyright of each modification belongs to its developer. We just have modified and supplemented these modifications with our ideas.

In the past there have been missunderstandings because some thought that we wanted to make profit with the work of others. But the missunderstandings could be cleared upiron out.

Every important information about FOTRS can be found in the readme!

The modpack has to be activated with JSGME (Generic Mod Enabler).

Is this compatible with patch 1.5 UBM?

its made only for 1.4 cause 1.5 UBM is a Bugcenter !

buuhhhh.. how will I get a sh4 v1.4 install here... might have to get a new machine... all my TMO+RSRD, Op Monsun and RFB run over sh4 v1.5

did you include a discount cupon in the download for a new machine ... :)

It would be helpfull if you can post the readme as well. It allows everyone (incl. non-broadband users) to read about the details of the mod.

I wouldnt mind trying it but like everyone else Im using 1.5, what are the issues with it using 1.5??

Your get a crash to desktop. I reinstalled SH4 updated to patch 1.4 and tried out the spanish version FoTRS. Very nice mod enjoyed it very much but for me to load up a uboat now and then i had no choice but to install the 1.5 uboat missions addon which killed the mod. Other wise i would still be playing this mod as its fantastic!. :rock: Just now and then i get the urge to run the IXD2.

Thats to bad :o( Guess I will wait for RFB, thats being updated soon. That sux, I was waiting for this to :o(

You'll be missing out, FOTRS is very, very good and RFB 1.6 ain't ready for atleast 2 weeks.

Thx for your compliments! We decided to develop FOTRS on version 1.4 because there have been to many complications with 1.5. Specially we had a lot of problems with the multiplayer part, which we focus on.

Hi Captains,

everybody can use FOTRS if you got two installations of SH4 !

Its easy to make a second installation.
Here ist the explanation .

1.) Remove your actual SH4 UBM version.
2.) Make a new SH4 installation
3.) Patch this new one with 1.4
4.) Copy this patched SH4 Folder to an other partition of your Harddisk
5.) Install UBM to the original Installation
6.) Make a shortcut from the SH4-exe of the copied 1.4 Version on your desk

Now you can play bothe versions, SH4 V1.4 and SH4 V1.5 but make shure that you will load the right savegames for each Version.
