Just a small query guys, in the control room for the Type 2 sub, the sonar operator when he reports contacts, turns to his LEFT when "talking to the skipper"
I imagine when this was designed, it was lifted directly from the VII or IX model, when the operator was on the opposite end of the compartment. Would it require a major rework for the sonar guy to turn his head to the RIGHT in line with the Type 2 control room?

I just started really paying attention to this thread, and can't believe my eyes Truely impressive work guys! This will certainly bring the game to a new immersion level.
As for the "Better than UBI" deal, yeah but let's remember our guys have all the time in the world to work on this. They're not under some corporate deadline to turn profits. Just my two cents Once again, great work guys! Can't wait to use this! |

No profits equals no game. Profit is not some evil specter casting a gloom over all mankind, but instead is the vital lifeblood that makes everything you have possible.
Profit is not an unfortunate consequence. It is a wonderful, world-shaking invention on a par with the wheel and the printing press.

Too much profit, or I should say "Lust" for it leads to greed and corruption which is why our economy here in the states is in the crapper right now! All kidding aside, and I'm not going to entertain a political arguement, you have a point. I know that if UBI didn't make a profit there would be no game. All I'm saying is that it's unfortunate that in order to turn a profit, there must be deadlines, and in turn not enough time to include every little thing. Thankfully we have a bunch of very talented people among us who are willing to use their spare time to transform this sim into a masterpiece! |

Once it's all setup and done, it should be fairly easy to port to SH3. But give the man some time and let him finish a SH4 version first I mean, this project just took off a couple of weeks or so ago. In all the years of SH3/SH4 this has never been attempted (and/or considered impossible), and now we already want him to release it for both games and all sub sections? :rotfl:
Keep in mind, it's a huge undertaking that he and the other participants are doing. The screenshots are very promising, but with the talent around, it's not nearly close of what's to come in the future of this game. I can assure you that. They have only just begun experimenting. Just give it some time, and keep encouraging them. Nice job so far, guys! I'm proud of you! This is exactly why I love making S3D

well, I don't know if I'm sounding harsh or not, please don't take it that way but if you're expecting us to wait until a port to SH3 is ready before we get to have a go ... I have some advice : Please upgrade and support ubisoft ! Of course its up to Tomi but we don't want to put him under any more pressure. Certainly I don't expect you to hold off on your favourite SH3 mod being released until it gets developed in SH4!

That said, would I mind if it was a mod SHIV only? Nope! All the more reason to look forward to a PC upgrade :p Super! Stuff of dreams! Keep it up and hopefully one day we will have a total interior for each and every boat like this. It'd be great if more people joined this effort and helped produced more models as well... |

Considering early screen from this topic there should not be much problems with transfering it to SH3. I just posted a note that it would be awesome to see this great and realy must have mod implemented to SH3 with its hundreds great mods too .
