I remember another thing:

The helo sometimes crashed (i lost the link..."No Sync"... and the status is "Down"), and i don't know if the helicopter runs out of fuel....

76 mm is useless. It can't hit flying target. Not even helo. Don't bother. DW can't aim ballistic weapons at airborne targets.
There was discussion about it some time ago, I did some serious testing that time. We tried to change it in database to CIWS like weapon and it could hit helos then. CIWS bullets flies on straight lines, not ballistic curve.
On the other hand this modification had some other problems and it could not hit fast moving targets anyway.

And yes, based on internet, the real 76mm should be able to attack airborne targets.

All of the above is correct, Chaff clouds do give you an increased chance of survival, slim, but it's a chance. The deployed Helo is the best option, If I am aware of a surface threat, I will place my helo in an advanced position out of enemy SAM range, and if there are two helo's embarked on the FFG, I will have one on either flank.

Trick with the CIWS is to manually look after it. Setting it to auto will have a far less discovery time then if it was manually armed once the incoming missiles were detected. Click off hold fire and acquire, this will prep the CIWS, then when it is in range engage the target, the mount does not need to turn then engage it's already in position. Believe it or not this can save upwards of a few seconds, but that can be the difference between life and death.

76mm, don't even both, unless you want to see some nice slashes. SM-2 is the primary weapon for taking out an incoming SSM. Please keep in mind, depending on the speed, size and flight pattern of the SSM, the SM-2 generally has a strike rate of about 75%.

I never used the 76mm cannon because it's useless. Only use the CIWS or the SM-2. By the way...the .50 machine guns can be used to destroy missiles at short ranges?
