TO ALL: PLEASE WHEN YOU REPLY DON'T QUOTE THE WHOLE SCREENSHOT, OTHERWISE IT TAKES A LOT TO LOAD UP THIS THREAD FOR PEOPLE WITH SLOW INTERNET CONNECTIONS.

All right, and now here we go (Click on the images for larger version):

One of the few colour pictures:

A classic: U-569 attacked with DCs by an aicraft (Who also took the picture, of course). This picture is in the cover of the english paperbackcover version of the book "Das Boot"

Now some commanders:

Kretschmer at work (I love this picture):

Executive officer of U-552 scans the surface through the observation scope:

And finally, a beautiful period picture of a WW1 UB-III class U-Boat, often wrongly depicted as a WW2 Type VII, that you can use as wallpaper:

Hope you enjoy them

I'm not realy sure, and can only guess. The boats on picture were assigned to 2nd Flotilla, and the photo is taken before the war (judging by the painted numbers).
The base of the 2nd Flotilla before the war was Wilhelmshaven, except for the first few weeks after forming, when it was in Kiel.

So, I guess the photo is probably taken in Wilhelmshaven, with a small probability that it was in Kiel.
